FRESH PRODUCE | ARTISAN FOOD & DRINK | STREET FOOD
Back in 2010, we launched the first weekly food market at Southbank Centre. The Real Food Market behind the Royal Festival Hall quickly became an important part of the Southbank Centre experience as we spent 5 years developing and growing the market.
The artistic and cultural district of the South Bank was a great location for the market, supporting carefully selected food producers and the first of the emerging street food vendors. We also ran several special markets curated to compliment or reflect the Southbank Centre musical or artistic programming, such as Alchemy South Asian Food Market, Imagine children's festival, as well as events to mark national occasions such as the Royal Wedding in 2011 when we staged what was probably London's largest dedicated street food festival to date.
