Sicily has a rich tradition in sweets and pastries and Cannoli are rightly one of their most famous. All too often though, they can be a sugar-loaded, soggy, monstrosity of the original. Thankfully Dario remains true to tradition with this classic and delicious Sicilian pastry, filling the crispy ‘little tubes’ on the spot (so they do not go soft and mushy) with fresh creamed sheep milk ricotta, finished with the famous pistachios from Bronte, candied lemon and orange or chocolate.
