Launched this July the Real Food Market takes place on the first weekend of every month, giving Londoners the opportunity to buy fresh, high quality, affordable products, direct from over 40 carefully selected Real Food producers. The Markets will showcase all that's regional, authentic, seasonal and sustainable.

As well as great produce there’ll be live cookery demonstrations, livestock to help re-connect people back to where their food comes from and fabulous alfresco hog roasts from Canteen Restaurant.

In keeping with the core principles of the Real Food Festival, the market is another great opportunity for small producers to find new channels to sell their excellent produce. It also offers the public an alternative shopping experience to the dominant supermarket model, allowing people to not only meet the farmers and growers themselves, but also to buy direct from the people who produce their food. The Real Food Market at Southbank Centre will also aim to create an experience around entertainment, education and fun with a series of talks, demos and interactive events.
