NEW - Stop Press – NEW – Stop Press – NEW – Stop Press - NEW

The trade day moves to Monday 10th May – our research has told us that this is by far the best day to get trade buyers to visit, and in addition we will be pre-registering next year and giving trade buyers free entry if they pre-register. They will also be badged!

The advantage of this is that we will deliver many more key trade visitors and you will know who they are when they come to your stand – you will be able to do more business with the right people in an environment perfectly suited to promote your products in the very best way.

What people said about this year’s Festival:

"The Real Food Festival was a fantastic celebration of the wonderful variety of food that British producers have to offer, and a brilliant way to talk to and buy from them. The debates, demonstrations and other activities meant that this year's Festival had something for everyone and was a great way for people to support the best of British regional food"

Rosie Boycott, Chair of London Food

“The Real Food Festival was not just an opportunity to sample and buy fantastic food, it was also a chance for consumers to really connect with producers, chefs and farmers who are helping to make our contemporary food culture so vibrant and alive. For the Soil Association to be the official charity partner of the Festival was an incredible privilege - sharing as we do the values of sustainability, authenticity and respect for the relationship between farm and plate. The Festival also made time to reflect on the serious side of the food debate - how we feed ourselves now and in the future, in the face of climate change, depleting fuel resources and a growing global population. This made the Festival a great combination of enjoyable, and stimulating food for body and thought.”

Patrick Holden, Soil Association

“The Real Food Festival marketing and PR campaign was hugely beneficial to Laverstoke Park and even before we got to the show we were feeling good. Once there, we sold out every day and more importantly have made some great new contacts and promoted our products to thousands of new potential customers”

Jody Scheckter, Laverstoke Park Farm

"The Real Food Festival was a fabulous showcase of great food and drink crammed full of delicious food, passionate producers and hungry visitors. It was the perfect place for Sacla' to present our pioneering sauces and we were proud to support so many inspiring producers as one of the Festivals key sustainers"

Clare Blampied, Managing Director Sacla UK Ltd

“The event was a great success for the Jersey team and we are delighted with the response. Taking a Jersey stand to the Real Food Festival is all about generating export opportunities for local companies and raising the profile of Jersey as a producer of world-class food and a food destination.”

Wayne Gallachan, Director of International Trade for Jersey Enterprise

“On behalf of Scotland Food & Drink, I would like to first of all congratulate you on such an excellent, inspiring event. It was a joy to see such passion for real food, with such a terrific selection of producers; educational activities; debates; cookery demos and much more.

We were very proud to be associated with the Festival and very much hope that we can become involved again in 2010, and indeed build on our participation.”

Fiona Richmond, Project Manager, Scotland Food and Drink

“Our second year at the Real food and already looking forward to next year. Good levels of business gained on the trade day along with the opportunity to catch up with our existing customers. The consumer days were well attended - a knowledgeable and inquisitive audience who embraced the opportunity to learn more about the brand and purchase product”

John Hadingham, Business Development Manager, ASPALL

“Feedback on the event was really good – including the cow smells! I personally think that’s what people should expect at food shows – it’s all about where and who our food comes from!
Our Managing Director came on Saturday and thought it was just the place to be!!”

Chris Cain, Event Manager, Rachels Organic

“We had tremendous interest, particularly in our lobster and crab. We sold out of lobster by the end of the second day and out of everything else by the end of the festival.”

Louis Jackson, Owner, The Fresh Fish Company

“We sold out of beer on the second day and had to draft in extra supplies from the Fifteen restaurant to see us through to the end of the Festival. The event exceeded all our expectations and we are very pleased with the response to our product, both from food professionals and the general public.”

Paul Hurley, Head Brewer, Jersey Brewery

We just arrived back from the Real Food Festival last night and there was already the first praise for Gilchesters flour on the web. ... Our flours, as well as our brand new Spelt biscuits received a fantastic reception and we caught the eye of the renowned 5 Star Hotel, Brown's in London, Oliver Peyton from Peyton and Byrne Restaurants and Nigel Barden, food writer and chef featured on the BBC Radio 2 Chris Evans Show.
All in all a very successful week-end for Gilchesters!

Andrew and Sybille Wilkinson, Gilchester Organics

“For us as a small food producer, the Real Food Festival greatly exceeded our expectations. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet a wide range of people (customers, buyers and fellow small producers), who overwhelmed us with their positive feedback and who have motivated us to take our business to the next level. Huge thanks to all at the Real Food Festival.”

Eloise Scotford, nibchoc Limited

“A really great show, we came away with lots of hot new trade contacts, existing customers dropped by to say hello and feedback about our products was amazing! The event was really well organized, a pleasure to attend – thank you. We are looking forward to coming again next year”
